Flower Basket

So excited to get to play with Crafter's Companion winter flower form foam and dies.  I had seen a You tube tutorial about making the basket but I cannot remember who it was by but here is my take on it.

Materials
Kraft card, Gemini Warm Blanket embossing folder,  poinsettia, pine cone, Christmas rose and ivy dies, winter and autumn hues foam and stamens, brown ink,  dry flower oasis.

Instructions for basket

1 Cut kraft card to 18x18cm, score and burnish at 6 and 12cm turn then repeat giving 9 squares.  Cut the corner  squares into three 2cm strips up to the centre squares.  Emboss and ink in brown, I used  Gemini Warm Blanket embossing folder it is smaller but can be moved and lined up.

2 Using the diagram, on the bottom row bring the strip 1’s up cross over then attach to the centre square.  Repeat for strips 2 and 3 so that it shapes the sides.  Do the same with the top row.

3 For the handle cut kraft card 4x21cm.  Score at 2cm down the long side and stick together shaping as you do so.  When dry emboss and ink.  Attach handle to the inside of the basket

4 Cut dry flower oasis/ foam to fit inside the basket, rounding at the top to give some height. Make up flowers and leaves then secure in place with glue and or wire.

The link takes you to Crafter's TV  for demos to make the flowers and pine cones etc.
