PYRAMID CHRISTMAS TREE

I wanted to make a 3D Christmas tree and came up with this pyramid tree that stands 20cm high.

Designed a template by drawing around the outside of  3 different sized triangle nesting dies.  Then I added tabs to the ends to enable them to slot into each other.  See photos.  For the patterned papers I drew around the inside of the triangles.

In white card cut middle and top sections, cut the base in kraft card.   Score on the broken lines.   Mat with patterned papers from Dovecraft’s Little Red Robin 12 x12 papers.
For each section of the tree stick the long end tab inside to the opposite end triangle.

Fold the 3 larger tabs at the base and stick the 3 tabs to each other to leave a triangle hole to slot over the other pyramids.  Add wet glue to the smallest tabs on the middle and top sections and stick in place, middle to base and top to middle section.  While the glue is still wet make sure the tree is level when it is standing, see photos below.

Once dry decorate with gems, candy canes and bows.  Add gold poinsettia to the top and trim the tree with white and gold twine threaded with gold bells.
